Rendezvous with France

While studying art at college it was natural to dream of travels to Paris. And as fate would have it due to a wonderful friend from college not only did she make it possible, but extended a life time invitation to come and stay there whenever for as long as I wanted.

This exhibition came about after my first visit in 1988 of 3 months and twice again after a gap of three years or so each time for another couple of months. Looking back I remember more than a few sweet personal & professional lessons. And probably the most important being how one grows up, in sprit and mind when one travels away from home on a journey to a foreign land.

A friend wrote out the contents of the invitation card which read as follows:

"RENDEZVOUS WITH FRANCE"

You are invited to a unique photographic exhibition by lens-woman, Farah Mahbub who has captured the alluring aesthetics of Paris and its suburbs in the South, with a skill that seems to infuse her images with pulsating life.

A wonderful opportunity to bring home a French original.
