This section has the Vandyke prints. One of the simplest and least expensive of the old image making techniques.In this Alt -Process, the prints have a beautiful rich brown showing off the paper texture as well as displaying the image's subtle details and contrast.

Dr. W.W.J Nichol invented the Kallitype process in 1899 and in those days it was never commercially popular, due to two significant reasons. One being the availability and convenience of other process and an initial reputation for image impermanence. There are several formulas for the variations of the Kallitype process. The easiest one used here being the Van Dyke Process.

The images were printed on Schollershammer 9HF 220G (fine grain) German watercolor paper.
